I need a good avi to dvd converter and a free one would be best lol. I got a ton of old tv shows i want to convert from avi to dvd so i can burn and send them to my brother any ideas on some good ones?

sweet man thanks im trying it now i got xilisoft but it does that water mark crap and is super slow so after its done ill try your super then keep the better of the two but from what i can tell your super is the better of them thanks again

Thank you very much. I'd d/l now. My biggest problem I'm having with Ubuntu besides getting my headset to work right in steam in Wine is proprietary media. A few codecs are out there to get around this, but I find more problems with avi timing becoming corrupted during payback.
