C&C3 does not like vista :(

I get this lovely crit messages quite frequently while playing c&c3 scirmishes.

I don't think syriquez has had any issues like that when we were playing skirmish maps. We tried to make it crash by running alot of stuff, 320 laser beam tanks charging a single obelisk of light couldn't even crash the game, that obelisk had a pretty nutty range and recharge speed.

The tower caps out at 50 beam cannons. It about doubles the range. The poor computer opponent's mammoth tank stood no chance, though. Killed it with one strike. Even better thing was that the recharge was so short that a whole fleet of mammoth tanks would have been screwed.
I see in the bottom right of your screenshot, the dreaded Vista TDR crash, "nvlddmkm driver has stopped responding". I hated that bastard.

Have you been keeping up on driver updates for your 8800gtx? I used to get those crashes on my other games on an older set. Currently, I run the 158.18 drivers and have had it only once since (and I was trying to aggravate the driver into doing it but anyways). Admittedly, I have never had it happen on C&C3.

I know he was behind on his drivers and updated last night. He restarted his pc and then he dissapeared for a while, came back was having issues then dissapeared since. I think I have a 2 year old driver and I wont change it till shit starts to hit the fan....

yeah, I updated to the latest driver, and was looking around in the control panel when ntune decided to super overclock my computer (3.8ghz pcie bus...). so now i bluescreen when loading windows.

I've got some options to fix it, but i havn't gone home to try them yet.
