well i was curious to know other software programs other then Prime95 and Memtest. Memtest has passed everytime when i run it for 12+ hours (i assume my RAM is good) but prime95 rounds incorrectly causing it to stop and says my hardware is failing... is there any other tests i could do to narrow down the possible cause? could it be that i have a quad core system and prime95 isnt ment for it? (it defaults to run only on 1 cpu until i set the affinity to another one and run it 4 times for each chip)

thx guys

Prime 95 v25.6 automatically loads all four cores. With Orthos you have to run two instances.
