So, newegg had a typo on the ASUS Maximus Extreme(openbox). They had it listed for $29.99. They prob ment the price to be $299.99 This a $349.99 mobo with 3 pci-e x16 slots. Yea its sexy. It even has a water block on the nb. I thought they would cancel it, but I just recieved a tracking number. Says open boxes are tested and work. We shall see. It has a 15-day return policy if it dosn't work. Also, this is ddr3 mobo so I went and ordered a couple sticks of OCZ Platinum Edition 1GB DDR3-1600 CL 7-7-7-20 at 100.99 a stick. So, if dosn't work I'll send RAM back minus a 15% restocking fee. Wish me luck.

that is a sexy board...
I like the built in wc block. I'm going to have to keep this one in mind for my next build.

So ya its here. Ghost wanted to know what I got with it. Well I got no extras at all. Not even the add in sound card(luckily I have one from my P5E. Working on getting it together now..
Right is the P5E and to the left the Max Extreme. The OCZ RAM is DDR3 1600 and Ballistix RAM is DDR2 1066.

It is liquid cooling? Or does the pipes just carry air. Looks like a really awesome board. I am going to look up the specs.
The board costs like $349.00, someone really made a nice mistake. I was really like the specifications and it really flew over my head. I have no clue on some of the things that they are talking about. You are miles above me on technology. The cooling said it was either air or water cooling. I don't know anything about overclocking. But then again I don't play those real serious games you fellows play. I think your board, if you paid the full price, what equal what it cost me to put together this machine I am using. Oh, to be young again.

It is liquid cooling?
the motherboard has a stock liquid cooling block on the north board chipset (the chip on the board that controls the main parts on the mother board such as RAM, Processor, Vid Card)
