Well its been 2 weeks now since i had to wait for my motherboard to arrive so i did some thinking and started to just do random modding on my P190 since i dont see anyone that has a P190. Its an amazing case if you dont have two PSU and a case already. Well worth the money.

Ill be starting with my first water cooling system loop lol..... man i think we all remember our first loops. and how silly they look after you get more experianced after the first lol....

I shouldn't have got rid of my quad. Takes 4.4ghz on E8400 to get 13k. Only took 3.4 on my quad. Benchmarks are not the end all factor in a good pc, but I like benching. Besides my pc is overkill 5x times over for what i do(cs 1.6 and interwebz browsing).

Anyway, I'll be starting a casemod/wc project soon. Stay tuned.

amen:clap: ^_^ mine is at stock 2.4GHz and im getting 12k on 3dmark06 ^^ go quad cores and a single 8800GTX

I got the SLACR G0 model so i theoretically have a good amount of room to over clock on it. any suggestions on temperature checkers that work... ive had a few but they seemed to all be different >.> what do you guys use? and what multipliers etc do you have in your BIOS?

The cooling system is astonishing to me. When I used to work in the Ford Motor Co. computer room they had a Cray computer where the boards were in a non-conductive liquid cooling the boards and recycling.

I worked with heat issues on machines with four processors, I worked on large Sun servers. All we needed were fans. The whole issue was removing the hot air from the components and cooling the heat sinks.

I just have to believe all these new cooling products they are selling on like tigerdirect and newegg are just overkill. I used to manufacturer semiconductors for three years. I sold heat sinks and fans of all sizes and speeds.

Your design just blows me away. It's cute. maybe all you needed was fans on the surface of the case sucking out the air. As long as you were in an environment of 70 degrees F, I don't see any problem.

If you went to http://www.hammondmfg.com/racks.htm#welded and looked at C4RR series. That unit had maybe four computers in it, with maybe a switch. It only had four 10" fans evacuating the air. New air was coming from the floor. I designed these systems back in the 90's. They are still used today.

Just my two cents.

Ya ive worked with racks like that for computers as well. and its a little different. really.

the cpu isnt easy to cool down just with fans. yes the majority of people do use heatsink-fans for there stock cpu cooler. But using the liquid material inhances the full momentum of the cpu abilities. yes its expensive but fun as well to have a cool looking pc inside. i like to overclock my products to what there ment to be pushed to the limits. but others say other wise. ;)..

Hope you guys do like the pics and maybe you like to do this to your pc as well some time soon. its really cool and fun at the same time.

The bottom line is all those tubes and the lights looks cool. I get it. I guess cool is expensive. Reminds me about monster cable, with this flash of gold and the high cost of the cables. I worked in the cable and cable assembly industry for 20 years or so. I have a EE degree. Good is for very low voltages, like micro amps. What a overkill, but it is a good marketing plan to run up the cost of cables.

You are right though your computer really looks cool, I will give you that.

I dont think so, do I?

i think he just missed the point in the post a few back. watercooling usually works better then just air cooled by fans. watercooling works about the same way your car does with its radiator etc.. hopefully you know how your car works if not google it ;)

because water cooling works better, you can increase the speed of the processor, video card(s) etc and get more performance out of your computer for the same cost in parts.

hopefully that cleared it up a little... looks arent the only reason to do watercooling.
