I have been pretty laid back in giving admin to people on the hidden server, mainly because I was trying to get regular players, and the best way to do that is intice people with admin.
Now that what use to be the most popluar US server is no longer running, and people have gotten to know our name, both Hidden servers are being populated throughout the day and night.
With that being the case, Its time for me to lay down some guidelines for my admin team so that everyone knows what they can and can not do.
:focus:
The main job of an admin is to treat being an admin as if it were his job. Because in all reality, it is your job to moderate and police the servers. If you want admin just so you can flex your power, you won't get/keep admin privs.
Admins will follow the same rules that they enforce on others. Any admin that does not will lose their admin privileges.
Admins will not disrupt the gameplay of the server for personal gain. Sure having fun is fun, but if players get annoyed by whats going on, the admin is to stop.
Admins are not to abuse players with "fun" commands such as burning, slapping, beacon, and bombs. They are allowed to use these when administering punishments for various violations of rules that are not already protected by server plugins. If a player asks for a certain "fun command" to be activated on them, they may do so in moderation.Current Server Rules:
Respect all players and admins. No direct threats, slander, or name calling will be tolerated. Recommended punishment: Kick, 1day ban, Perm Ban.
No Blatent/Excessive TKing. This will be managed by the ATACs plugin. 10 team attacks = 1 tk, 3tks = 60min ban, 3-60min bans = perm ban.
No Excessive Bunny Hopping. A bounce here or there I will allow, but if you bunnyhop from one side of the map to the other, expect to be kicked and/or banned. Recommended punishments: Kick, 1day ban, Perm Ban
No Cheating/Hacking/Exploiting. This will result in a Perm Ban.
No excessive camping, No camping in hard to reach spots. To clarify, Camping more then 40sec-1min in a corner or cubby hole is considered an excessive camp. Players camping in a vent, behind a dumpster, or behind a fence will receive the harshest of punishment as this is considered exploiting the map. Recommended Punishment: Burning, Kick, 1day ban, perm ban.
No Racial Slurs, Comments, Names, Etc or excessive swearing. If you join with an offensive name, you will be asked to change it, if you don't you will be banned. If you start chatting using Racial phrases or screaming explicits more then you shoot bullets, you will be warned once, after that you will be banned. I will not tolerate this on my server as it just leads to more trouble.
No Eluding Admins. Changing your name often, or to something else for the purpose of making it harder for an admin to execute a command on you will result in a perm ban.
Have fun and talk to each other. The "expert" server has alltalk turned on so you can taunt each other and have good conversations with each other while you play. The #2 server is setup more for new players with alltalk off, pigstick on, and ff off.Admins are to document by recording a demo and then hand out a Permanent ban. You must submit a demo to the ban board for every Perm Ban you give out. Failure to due so will result in the ban being overruled if the player submits a proper unban request. The only exception to this are bans given out by myself, afrodan, or Silent-Er@ser or if a ban is chat related and/or can be looked up in the logs.
If you have any issues with any of the admins, Please pm me here on the forum. Please provide any chat, demos, screenshots, etc. I will back my admins unless you have proof that I shouldn't. If you do indeed provide me with proof of an admin doing what he shouldn't be, I will revoke his/her admin rights.
