Hey all, i'm pretty new to the forums and play PV with Lezlow and the bunch. About a week or so ago i mysteriously disappeared due to severe computer issues and an illness in the family. On top of that my third fast paced masters course started and work has been hectic trying to get all sorts of IT implementations in prior to the server freeze (if you are not aware what that is it is when the current state of the environment is "frozen" and all changes after a certain date are rejected. This is to ensure that there are no unexpected downtimes during the healthcare benefit enrollment and reenrollment periods - usually mid november to the end of december).

I'm running an original Dell XPS with 3.2 GHZ 1GB DDR, and a 256MB DDR ATI Mobility Radeon 9800. Unfortunately I think it is Dell's inability to provide compatibility with ATI's latest drivers that are keeping me behind the game. I used to play WoW (went through WoW rehab and came out ok) and this computer was more than enough for 20 person raids. Not sure why PV bogs down so much, but a complete rebuild of my PC and a new RAM module seemed to speed things along.

If anyone has ever used the same system as myself and found a more up to date compatible video driver please let me know. If something doesnt change i am going to have to spend $200 on 2 GB of ddr from Dell or buy myself a new system. I'm not "hip" with the latest technology, but I can't spend any more than $350 on a base system (case, mb, cpu, hdd, cd, video, wifi card, etc..).

And with that I end my saga, more to come in future months...

But other than that i look forward to being a part of this group and possibly expanding my gaming horizon once things cool down in the real world.

Thanks,
