ok so does anyone know stuff about eyes.
like weakend retna's?
floaters in the eye?
laser surgery for eyes?

Dunno about weakend retinas, but i know detached retinas can result in blindness. Floaters in the eyes are something there from birth i cant recall the details but basically they are there when you eyes form and remain there. Laser surgery is something i won't touch, sure it would be nice to see well without glasses but i just don't feel comfortable having the top layer of my cornea mostly removed and have a laser reshape it.

Detached/Weakened retinas can indeed result in blindness. IF I recall correctly, there are procedures to deal with this, but I'm not sure.

Floaters are just bits of flesh and blood vessels that broke off during development. Some people have more, some less. Generally, the amount you have is going to be with you your whole life. Some people can even lose some or gain some, but in the case of the latter, gaining a noticeable amount can result in poor vision, most notably, poor nightvision.

Laser surgery is still a little too new to trust, but hey, SOMEONE has to be the guinea pig. Admittedly, my family can't risk having the surgery because of my dad's genetics and experiences. He overheals, e.g. scars. So basically myself and skulk can't risk it...glasses are our future :/.

well i went to the eye doctor he told me that i have a weak spot in my retina and that i need to go to a retina specialist.
he also told me that i had 2 floaters that i have just gained in the past 2 years or so.
this is happening in my right eye the eye that i havent needed a perscription in.
this really sucks because he told me that i might need surgery to strengthen the weakend part of my retina.

Anything medical freaks me out....dentists...optometrists...doctors...

I always think something bad will happen. =/

But I'm sure you'll be fine, they always say technology is improving.

I got contacts recently...yeah thats pretty much the only eye thing going for me... and I have an astigmatism.

i dont know much about eyes (so far with no need of glasses etc) but i had both my lungs collapse in December and im still here today so doctors are ok in my book.
