any suggestions on how to get my pistol badge. the knife badge was easy, when i tried, but i can't seem to get enough kills with the pistol in one round.

You could try it as sniper. Hit them with a bolt action rifle then hit them once with the pistol.

yeah, sniper is the best way to go.
also, look for a "high points" infantry server. They have more tickets to make the rounds last longer. gives you a bit more time to get the kills you need, plus those servers are usually full of people.
I've found that around 26-34 players on a server makes good infantry

I personally used the sniper pistol and special ops pistol. Also dont use anything cept a pistol. Even if you see a tank. :D

I'd play if I could get into some actual tactical gameplay. Got it once with a very demanding commander, telling people to do specific things. Probably when I fell in love with the heavy sniper rifle (can't think of the name) when he organized two, two-man sniper teams, light snipers and heavy snipers, to cripple enemy infantry ability. On top of that, we had a bunch of dedicated anti-air, engi repair jeep squads that repaired armor defense/offense... It is so much fun to play a sniper when you have it organized so that people who are getting shot at don't know where the fire is coming from.
Probably the most fun in a non-NS RTS/FPS-hybrid game I had in a long time (and NS doesn't really do it for me anymore, it's too much a pitched melee...that, and I can't get my mouse to register right in the game for some reason).

It's also known as the Barrett. Mythbusters did an episode where they fired rifles into a swimming pool and WOW!!!!! The Barrett is AWESOME. Here's another pic.
