As Mirfax already said in his thread, we're making TM maps all the time, and I finally got one of mine validated
I've worked a bit with this, but I'm not sure if it's hard enough... But if it isn't, I can always take a few hours, and validate my hardest one :D
Anyway, here's the map, and tell me if anythings wrong/bad with it, or if it's too easy (I validated it on the first try o.O)

PS. The map's supposed to be named Ðope's Ultimate Challenge #1, not ope's, but filefront didn't support the letter Ð :(

Nice track but it would be herder if u add some holes...
Another thing is, that u should make everything 1 step higher because if u fall outta the wallride u cant get beack on the track at many places...;)

Hey,

Nice map. Yea i would agree with tank on the fact you should always build your map one piece above ground. However i do not agree with the hole idea : /.

I suggest just adding some things to make the map more interesting while driving. For example if its a flat area maybe create a tunnel or something.

Once again fun map. And heres my replay.

Cowman20

p.s. could you post your other track so i could try and beat it : )

Hi!

You don't have to place everything 1 step over the ground, because if you do fall out of the track and get back on the road, you will loos LOADS of check points and time, so i don't think it's a big deal.... And: if you fall of the road and get back on, you don't have any speed, if it's in front of a loop or a wallride, you cant continue :) And that's what i think :P

And TANK! what do you think about my map? (you can find it under "A new extreme Track Mania Map") :P I would like an replay from you too ^^

Good you liked the map, Cowman :)
Well, I agree with Mirfax, no matter where you fall off the course, you will either miss at least one checkpoint, or get to little speed for the next thing.
But, I have updated the map, Now it got some text somewhere, and a intro! (Probably not a very good intro, since it's the first intro I've bothered making, but an intro nonetheless)

Also, I can't figure out how to add the music, cause I add custom music, but it just goes silent, so if anyone can do it for me, it would be great! :D The music (Solid Electronics by Astral Projection) can be found here: http://files.filefront.com/Astral+Projection+++Solidsmp3/;8333404;;/fileinfo.html

And, Cowman, here's a map that I have validated ONCE, but then I changed something and saved, so it's not validated anymore :( But I've been about 10 seconds away from validating...

Thanks for the submission.

I just want to say that wall grind maps are my least favorite. Lezlow would find this more to his liking.

First thing that I have an issue with is figuring out where to go. part of this could be due to the signs not loading. I have giving you access to our tm mapper section where you can find ftp access so you can upload the sign files.

The first "big" wall grind was kinda annoying for me because I wasn't sure if that was where I was suppose to go. I explored going the other route, but found it was missing part of the track as when I hit the finish line, it didn't finish.

You need to add structural support to your map. Stuff is just floating in air. I don't like that. Go through and make it look like everything is connected in some way. Also, add some eye candy to the map. Its kinda boring at this point.

Try not to put text dead center of the screen. While its helpful the first time you play the track, it then gets in the way of when you know whats coming, but have the text in the way.

Your map has a good start. track layout is nice. Just needs the final touches before I'll add it to the rotation.

Ok, I shoudl've though of that, of course :P Oh well, time to work... By the way, I was wondering if you had any ideas on how to make the wallride not float in the air, since I can't really build it up with some kind of platform, that'll make you crash, and I can't use poles either, since it's wallrides, doesn't connect with poles :(

But thanks for telling me what's wrong with the map, so I can make it better :D

Never mind the post above me, figured it out :P Well, now I've added some buildings (If you still think it's to few, tell me, I'm not usually rating a map after the decorations :P), nothing is hanging in the air, but there's a HELL of a lot of pillars EVERYWHERE, but oh well :P I have also added signs to the ftp server, and I've added some text at the beginning of the first wallride, telling you to "Take the long jump", so you shouldn't go wrong there anymore :D
So, hopefully this is the final version, and I really hope this map gets on the server, and if it does, I'll start getting an intro, and validating my hardest map as well :P (Posted before in this thread)

The new version of the map is uploaded on the FTP server, couldn't be bothered making a filefront one again :P
Oh, and the folder on the FTP server is called "new Folder", because it wouldn't give me access to renaming :P
