So today in my volunteer/ intern job we were talking about how people don't know what to do after high school. Somehow the conversation went into the direction of someone's life being totally ruined by drugs because he crossed someone and got shot (BAM)

So I go: Haha, that kid got owned by drugs.

This ladie, probably like 50 or 60 something was like ?? Owned him? I was like ya, he got OWNED by drugs. She's like whats that supposed to mean. I was like you know, owned, pawned?

She's like ya sure... he got OWNED by drugs and she looked at me weird.

I guess owned/pawned is only used by gamers :-\
