Nav Bar

I'm trying to work on the nav bar and related links. Having some troubles getting a good color combination working. not to mention geting a color scheme to work with everything....

send me a message of what exactly you want in it, ill see if i cant make a flash thingy-majig for it, though i cant promise anything and schools out in 2 weeks.. omg!!!! so im basicaly dead till then. yeah for macromedia flash animation.;)

i ask you to just give feedback on the navigation bar in either a pm to me on the forums or a reply to the thread so i can try and change it to everyones liking. there are a few bugs but those will likely be fixed when i learn html and know a code flash overlapping onto html, possibly in action scripting.

PS: tell me what color the bar is for everyone, at first i posted it and giipkun told me it was green, sure enough it was on my desktop though it was yellow on my lappy. i changed it up so tell me what u see.

Besides that, its pretty awesome. And um, the color is like a golden, not green.

Its got a golden gradient feel to it. More gold up top and more black towards the bottom.

just clicked on the link you left in teamspeak and the nav bar looks soooo thin. Like its getting crushed by the huge banner we have

another thing, unfortunately, flash can't just popup over other stuff not inside its set paramiters. So, the dropdown menu, will atually have to be a drop up menu (or some other direction) I want the actual pages to start with no more then 1 line of black below the navbar.

its possible to have flash go outside its boundaries, as u see the current banner goes outside (left and right) of its boundaries. also i was looking at some html code and i know there has to be a way to have flash be on top of html, something like dHTML .. i dunno u figure that one out ^_^ if not ill just have it go up and make the banner/nav bar 1 movie, but it might take a little to load especially if metalweaver doesn't give me the pictures to re-size
about the green, on my laptop which i was working on it was a dark gold color, i asked raggat and he wondered y it was green, i viewed it on my desktop and it was like neon green. the color u told me on msn is not what you said it was/ i interpreted.

find a color that works for u and send it to me: #_ _ _ _ _ _ _

Well, our current one expands the width of the screen. It doesn't overlay. you can see that when you open the page fresh with no cache, it shows white all the way across.

as far as the color, it should be
#FFCC00

I might have mixed it up a bit when I gave it to you, took it off memory.

Changes:

re-did the whole thing from scratch
banner/navbar are now 1 file
first bar going across is loader bar, loads nav bar + banner (kinda long load the first time, but once it's cached its instant every time after)
FPS changed to 30 (looks smoother and quickens the wait if already loaded)
color's changed to match forums #FFCC00 (then darkened to squirrls liking)
all links work but re-direct to old style banner/nav for now
darkened background around server stats pop-up
took out "news" from home button


To Do:

transitions from picture to picture
load nav bar then banner
random slides after initial 2f4f banner
animations when hovering over buttons (any ideas are welcomed)
obtain ideas to improve banner/nav from community (thats you replying)
get a better 2f4f main banner or any other NS, DoD, CS etc, photoshoppers have fun with this and submit me a link to the picture via forum PM plz dementions of 900x200 pixels (my photoshop skills lack)

Stopped halfway through the loading. I've got a pretty amber bar sitting at the top of my screen but I somehow think that wasn't the purpose intended.

/update like 20 more times, now the banner/nav bar are 3 files.. initial .swf that calls the nav bar, then calls the banner to accommodate for slower connections

PS: cookies and cache are 2 differnt things.
if your not seeing the updates then: on firefox: Tools > options > Advance tab > Network Tab > press "Clear Now" this will delete whats currently on your computer for that file and force you to re-download it

for IE users, uninstall IE and download firefox, or go tools > options > general > and under the browsing history, push "delete..." click the top option of "delete files..."
