Remote desktop question

i need a good remote desktop application to use on my XP home computers so i can be on my lappy and still do stuff on my desktop at home.

i hear VNC is good but id like other suggestions.

my original plan was to have lineage running, and if i was bored at school check to see if i didnt D/C but i noticed with any remote desktop utility, it basically freezes at high FPS (above like 1fps) and i cannot click or type anymore cus it continuously loops refreshes. desktop navigations is still just fine though. and i like VNC, was just hoping i could get it to work with this.

well ive tried to get it to work, but i cant login at all, it slowly refreshes the screen on the client to the point i cant type or anything, even on lower detail everything. any other suggestions?

possibly its a setting i have wrong. msn me and ill give u the info zander, maybe u can figure it out.

havent tried resizing it.. sounds like it "should" work. though when i try regular size from my LANed laptop at 100Mbps, i still had problems with refresh rates and not being able to do anything. im wanting to say its a setting im missing. next time i see u in team speak ill give u the info and maybe we can figure this out.
